St. John’s Prep has one of the elite volleyball programs in the state and a very competitive coach in Andrew Viselli.
Apparently, the Merrimack Valley Conference can’t stomach that combination anymore because it has just kicked out the Eagles after yet another season in which the Prep made it to the state final.

The postponements are coming in fast and furious as the remnants of Hurricane Noel that are expected to slam the Eastern coast of Massachusetts are already forcing several regularly scheduled football and state tournament soccer and college postseason games to be moved to Sunday instead.

It seems like the fall sports season just began — was it really seven weeks ago that the games kicked off? — but in reality, we’re coming up on the end of the regular season for most North Shore teams (aside from football).
