Mike Grenier was back in the saddle once again last week as far as predicting the most notable “Weekend Warrior” — the same way his idol , Bruce Springsteen, keeps churning out albums.

Grenier’s pick of Marblehead quarterback Hayes Richardson (3 rushing TDs) got the job done and the season wins total is now Grenade 5, Matt Williams 1 and Phil Stacey 1. He’s just about mathmatically clinched this title as fast as he has been mathematically eliminated from our weekly staff football predictions.

This week, Stacey looks to stave that off and Matt Jenkins looks to get on the board. The Picks:

Phil Stacey: Mark Hannable, Beverly QB: Looked like his old self last week and will bewitch the Saugus Sachems on All Souls’ Day at Hurd.

Matt Jenkins: Mark “All Day” D’Addario, Peabody RB: A week off and a suspect Salem D spell a hungry Tanner and a big night at home.

Mike Grenier: Ehab Hamdan, Pingree WR: The Highlanders have been playing well lately and this TD machine keeps it going.

Matt Williams: George Sessoms, St. John’s Prep RB: It’s now or never for the Eagles, and this Peabody native should be the best player on the field Friday night.
