Lost in the hoopla of high school football games and the like last weekend: Boston College freshman Chris Kreider of Boxford had his first college hockey point.
The much-heralded Kreider, a first round pick (19th overall) of the New York Rangers this past summer, assisted on a second period goal scored by Eagles’ teammate Ben Smith.
The goal helped 15th ranked BC knock off Notre Dame, 3-2.
