Police are cautioning drivers to expect delays in the Gloucester Crossing area tomorrow morning.
Police Sgt. Joe Shairs said workers from Verizon will be digging up the street to repair an underground telephone line. The work could start as soon as 6 a.m. and traffic could be diverted to other streets, Shairs said.

Word came down this morning that the St. John’s Prep basketball game vs. top-seeded Central Catholic in the Division 1 North final at the TD Garden in Boston will have a scheduled tip off at 7:45 p.m.

The former Li’l Peach on Essex Street that has been closed for three years has been bought by convenience store owner Amit Patel of Beverly. Patel said he plans to re-open the store as a grocery store this summer.
