With 1301 left the Warriors are on top 2-1. 8 seconds into a powerplay a point shot went off Savage’s shoulder and into the cage.

Tied up 1-1 after two. LS has taken an edge in shots 16-12 and both squads are 0-2 with the man advantage. Should be a dandy of a third period, we’ll see if Mark Leonard can get his offense untracked.
Very fast moving game and very even. Still 1-1 midway throguh the second as we get out first look at the Warrior power play.
We go to the second period tied 1-1 after the Tanners got a checking line goal late in the first. LS is buzzing early in the period having already hit a post. Derek Savage has made two nice stops, and McInerney answers wih a breakaway stop on Cohen.
7:00 p.m. — Another goal from Quinn put this game well out of reach, as Derek Savage gets the hook and the Peabody offense remains MIA. The Warriors are going to win, be sure to check out tomorrow’s edition for plenty of details from myself and Jean DePlacido.

Salem city councilors set a bad precedent Thursday night by agreeing to at-large member Steve Pinto’s request to put the mayor’s appointment of Gayle Sullivan into committee.
The council has traditionally given the mayor broad leeway in making appointments to the various boards and commissions.
It’s not like Pinto or anyone else has problems with Sullivan’s qualifications. [...]
