A life sciences company called BioHelix Corp. is moving into the Cummings Center. Former New England Biolabs scientist Huimin Kong, shown here,  founded BioHelix in 2004. The company develops “cost-effective, instrument-free nucleic acid tests,” according to a press release. Beverly native Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Doherty, far right in photo, is shown receiving an Army Achievement Medal in a ceremony before his unit shipped off to Iraq. Doherty is a member of the 101st Financial Management Detachment, which has been in Iraq since June.
