A water main break on Rantoul Street near Elliott Street around 1 p.m. has tied up traffic. Workers turned on hydrants in the area to relieve the pressure. Here, a van drives through water at the corner of Rantoul and Beckford. We’ll have the full story in tomorrow’s paper.

The mayor has recommended two new appointees to serve on city boards — Anthony Paluzzi of Victor Avenue for the Conservation Commission and Mary Behrle of Cobbler’s Lane for the Library Board of Trustees.
A reminder that the City Council will hold its final discussion on the 2010 budget tonight before voting on the budget tomorrow night. Both meetings are at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
