The annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is Saturday, April 25, from 8 a.m. to noon at the high school, not tomorrow as we incorrectly reported in today’s Salem News. We apologize for the mistake.
A reminder that tonight’s scheduled public hearing on Beverly Little League’s proposal to build an indoor sports facility has been postponed. The hearing will be held two weeks from tonight, April 30, at 7 p.m. at the Senior Center.
Thursday night’s public meeting about Beverly Little League’s Harry Ball Field proposal has been postponed until Thursday, April 30, Parks and Recreation Director Bruce Doig said.

A third member of Citizens for Fiscal Responsibility is running for office. Grover Street resident Bob Hames took out nomination papers for Ward 6 city councilor last night at City Hall.

More than 200 people attended Mike Cahill’s campaign kick-off at the Franco-American Club last Thursday, according to a press release from Cahill. The former state representative is running for one of the three at-large seats on the City Council.
